Athens University of Economics and Business

The MSc in Human Resource Management of the Athens University of Economics and Business was founded in 2003 and is the first such program offered by a Greek University. Very recently (April 2016) the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that the programme fully aligns with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. Throughout the world, 410 programs in 308 educational institutions have been acknowledged by SHRM as being in alignment with its suggested guides and templates. The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed by SHRM to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2015 the program received the distinction «Recognised for Excellence-3 star» of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)

The program aims to develop HR Professionals capable to deal with the current challenges associated with people management in organizations. To meet this need the content of the program is based on four pillars:
• A combination of courses beyond the traditional HRM courses in order to develop students’ business / strategic thinking and leadership skills
• A balance between theory, practise and skills development
• Faculty with a breadth of academic knowledge and substantial professional / work experience
• Students who are selected on rigorous criteria of educational background, skills and work experience
